How Much Has Consumption Of Organic Crops Increased?

By Rob Sutter

This probably goes without saying but it seems like items are going to be only as successful as the rate of awareness they have. If you can name anything that goes with a price, it seems like said awareness can be connected to it. Those who want to use them on a consistent basis are going to need reasons if the prices are high. It seems like organic crops are some of the most ideal items to use and it's recommended that you incorporate them into your diet consistently.

I can recall a number of cases in my childhood where my family and I would head to a market which specialized in these crops. What was unique, at least to me at the time, was that you were allowed to pick from the field that was right next to it. If you paid a certain amount, you could take a trip through said field in order to pick berries or whatever it was that was in season. I always believed those were good family memories but I didn't realize how well these crops could help families in general until I was older.

According to an article on the Economic Times, it seems like this level of awareness is being seen in a number of households. In fact, 62% of New Delhi homes in the upper end segment prefer to have organic crops as opposed to those which aren't organic. It seems like out of all of the items which can be seemed natural, fruits and vegetables were the most prevalent. This is especially significant for networks which specialize in these kinds of items, Colle Farmers Market included amongst them.

It's clear that there was an increase but how much was it, exactly? Well, the article talked about this level of growth and it was found that natural crop usage expanded in the area by 95% over the past five years; a great jump, to say the least. Retailers have become more knowledgeable of this and a survey was done amongst a group of 1,500. Out of that number, 1,000 of them talked about people were making the change because of changes to health along with the shifts made in environment grounds.

I can only imagine that families are the groups which have decided to go organic over just about any others. This isn't difficult to fathom, seeing as how parents have to make sure that their children are eating right; this means that going for safer food is best. Are these kinds of crops more expensive than the ones you may be able to find at any typical mart? Sure, but I think that these come recommended over the standard produce, higher rates and all.
